You will find this number on your receipt after payment has been processed. It will speed up the process for the next step and help you access your record later.
A list of agents can be found here. Call first to make an appointment. Be sure that you both bring either a driver’s license or passport. Agents are located around the island. A $5.00 fee will be collected when your marriage license is issued. Be sure to bring your record locator number with you for easier processing.
After your wedding, I will sign the marriage license and file it with the State of Hawaii. A temporary license will be available online within 3-5 days. You can access it with your record locator.
Issued by the State of Hawaii, it will be sent to you three weeks after your ceremony.
The legal age to marry is 18 in Hawaii. No blood tests are needed. It does not matter what state you reside in or if you are a USA citizen. If previously married, proof of the divorce or a death certificate will need to be provided to the marriage agent.
